More Cash for Human Ray Gun Tests

The Pentagon is dead serious about getting its pain ray into the field soon -- serious enough to test the system out on people.

Defense Industry Daily notes that " Conceptual MindWorks in San Antonio, TX received a $7 million cost-plus fixed-fee contract to provide for research support around emerging directed energy weapons... and their effects on humans."

Work will be conducted in cooperation with the Air Force Research Laboratory, Human Effectiveness Directorate... located in Brooks City-Base, TX. The scope of the proposed contract will focus on bioeffects research on directed energy and kinetic energy systems, to assist in transitioning DoD technologies from the lab to the front lines.
Using electro-magnetic waves that penetrate just a 64th of inch beneath the skin, the Defense Department's pain ray creates a burning sensation that tends to make people run the other way, fast.

You are a twisted little man with a military fetish.

Why didn't they spend some of that 7 million on, say, a bottle of water for some of the people in New Orleans?

Right, because your President talks to God.

Al Qaida , the Bathists and Khomeni lovers are a threat to the security and the economy of the US.

If they are not dealt with than the US economy will be severely damaged, that would mean less tax revenue and far less money for social programs.

Any fighting against Bathists , Khomeni followers and Bin Laden lovers is almost like World War II.

The US would have been wrong to ignore the axis powers and just spend money on social programs during WW II

The US ought to withdraw soldiers from South Korea before the backing off.

In fact Canadian soldiers ought to be defending South Korea - not the US.

By the way while you are telling the US how to spend its tax dollars why don't you go help your own country and pay Canadian taxes?

Didn't we already have a thread about this recently?
I know we did.
Joo, I think you posted in it.
Anyway, designing a better less-lethal crowd-control device is worthwhile goal (assuming it works they way they hope it does). Rubber bullets haven't been such a great idea.

But you're right, the Pentagon isn't spending my money so I don't care much either way, but this sure beats $400 toilet seats and gold plated hammers.

The post bothers you obviously one freedom you don't care about is freedom of speech. And of course you care about freedom - I mean the freedom of Bathists and Khomeni followers and Bin Laden lovers to teach hate, incite violence , plan terror and fund Al Qadia.

And you side with them or any one else who is against the US cause you resent hyperpowers.

Moreover you live off the good graces of the US so you are a hypocrite. In the end you are just a radical so your opinion means nothing

Anyway If you care so much about spending social programs then you ought to be supporting them in your own nation.

Twelve days after the big one there are still bodies on the streets of New Orleans. Why don't you get your nose out of Popular Mechanics and
go clean them up if you are such a patriot? I hear there's a blueprint for a hover-car in the back if you send away for it. I don't think treating the dead with dignity is a radical idea, I suppose Bush-ites do.

Right now New Orleans is being evacuated, but I did send money. So tell us have you sent any money back home to Canada pay for Social programs?

As I said If you are big on social programs why aren't you paying taxes in Canada? Indeed aren't you a dude who does't lots of privates and is in Korea working on a tourist visa illegally ? Not that I usually care - but in your case lets point it out . So are you paying your taxes to fund social programs in Korea or in Canada?

You are real big on telling the US to spend money on social programs but you are in a country where you pay much less taxes US citizens. And indeed it seems you do your best to avoid any taxes. Do you yourself fund any social programs - seems you don't.

As for the dead if the US doesn't deal with the mideast then the US will be attacked again and again.

actually I didn't post the old link , but anyway this link also has connects to other non lethal weapons the US is designing.

I am just waiting for the moonbats to complain that this will allow the US to enforce its will without having to worry about civilian casualties.

They will be all worried w/o civilian casualties then there won't be the news coverage of what the US does and so the US will be much more free to act.

Joo, it's no fun when you're Canadian to think that some of your tax money is going to Liberal-friendly advertising firms for nothing and to pay for an extra $4.8 billion in spending because the government was so weak they had to tack on a few extra programs wanted by the opposition in order to get enough votes to survive until the next parliamentary session.
Not that there aren't worse governments out there, mind you.

But, Canadian law doesn't require non-residents to pay anyway so that's a moot point. Taxes should only be paid by people who receive daily benefits from them, in my opinion. And p.sangja has a visa.

At any rate I think it is real interesting that our neighbors up North are so interested in how the US government spends money.

Besides if they are real big on social programs then why are they not funding them in thier own country.

Besides the US could have funded New Orleans better - not that it would necessarily have made a difference by taking US forces out of Korea. But most Canadians in Korea like the US military spending for that purpose.

Besides the US is going to spend 50 Billion dollars to fix up New Orleans (as it ought to )

Quote:
WASHINGTON, Sept. 7 - President Bush asked Congress today to approve an additional $51.8 billion to help the Gulf Coast region recover from the catastrophic hurricane and floods, and Congressional leaders promised quick action to get aid to those who need it
.

so why does Pyungshin get all upset that the US spends some 7 million on some new exotic weapon?

It is not cause he is really upset about New Orleans - it is more that he would rather the US not have such a capability cause he doesn't like the US.
