Badly sprained ankle: Doctor looked at it, got some x-rays, wrapped it up, and went home with crutches and medicine. Exact same thing happened to my friend two weeks ago with the exact same treatment with a bill of 40,000 won after medical insurance.

My Problem: I've opted out of the National Medical scheme because I was told that the school would cover the medical expenses. I've been very sick a couple of times and each time they did cover all the expenses. This time they told me that the doctor told them 180,000 and that they would only pay 90,000. I haven't seen the receipts for the doctor yet so I don't know if it was actually that much. Since I wanted to National scheme and they put on the pressure to opt out, should I insist they pay it in full?

Yes! They have covered all your medical expenses before. Why should this be any different? Ask to see the bills. Smile
