The answer here is, nothing! My stove is still on order--it's in the mail. They promise it will arrive tomorrow. (I've been surviving for the last 19 days on the 10 different ways I know to make a tuna sandwich.) So...my home-made Italian sausage is in the refrigerator waiting for a b-i-G pot of spaghetti tomorrow night. Hallelujah and pass the Parmesan! |

Tonight is a porkloin done up with a garlic, spicy mustard and fresh green peppercorn rub, served with cheddar mashed potatoes, corn on the cob and a nice fresh garden salad.
Its tough to have to rough it but what the hey! |

Well... to start, I had a pre-dinner makju followed by a bowl of beef bone ramen doctored up with vegies, then pork fried rice with onions, green peppers, carrots, celery and green onions. For desert, a big fat peach and coffee...
Grotto's dinner sounds better though - I've got to get an oven. Dreaming of roast beef! |

tonight was Thai green curry on basmati rice, and I'm making something vaguely samosa-ish for lunch tomorrow. |

Wow, so many people cooking good food! I don't know what I will eat until I see the menu. I wish I had cooking skills/motivation. |

First a salad with bacon, mandarins, almonds, mustard, onions, leafy greens, mmmm
Then a family recipe: Hungarian chicken paprikash with dumplings and sour cream.
All leftovers from the dinner party I hosted for some adult students. The men ate it politely, the woman asked for seconds and thirds
After having hosted several dinner parties over the last few years, I can definitely say that Korean women appear to enjoy eating unusual foods much more than the men. |

It's all about the freezer! I made enough rice for another few meals, so in a couple of days when I'm too lazy to really cook, I can just thaw some out and fry it up with some veggies and an egg. |

Yeah cooking for one and eating leftovers for the rest of the week (nowadays I only cook 2-3 servings!) can get boring... sometimes I actually look forward to having one of those 'school dinner outings' sprung on me
I do like to eat good food though so usually the motivation is lacking only when I'm knackered or holidays are coming up and I'm going away. |

I'm having a pre-dinner, post-work beer first. Then I'll move on to the soup I made last night, which consists of:
sliced Australian beef, tofu blocks, carrots, hobak (what is the English word?), bean sprouts, leeks, kimchi, Shin ramen noodles/spices, and pepper.
Two words: mashissoyo. |

- A wonderful bag of Orion's Onion Poker Chips.
- Two fantastic bottles of Hite Beer.
- 5 spectacular Time Lights cigarettes.
However, those were just the appetizers.
Haven't eaten it yet, but I'm sure the entree will be deletable. |

Vietnamese stir fried chicken with lemongrass from my garden. And a nice salad with romaine lettuce from Carrefour! It's the first romaine I have had in Korea. Yippee! |
