Hello to all the people living in or around Ansan.

I'd like to suggest a BBQ over at my place next weekend (Saturday, September 17) to celebrate Chuseok and meet all the people living in Ansan. I have access to the rooftop of my building, where we can get the barbecue fired up, drink a few co cktails and have a good time.

If you're interested, please post here, or send me a pm, so I can organize food, tables & chairs, and whatnot. It'll be a BYOB as well as a BYOS (bring your own salad/sidedish), but I'm happy to provide some BBQ-type food (burgers/sausages/kebobs/...) for everyone. I'll also invite some of my co-workers, so it'll be a good opportunity to make new friends.

I live a 10-minute ride from Handeap station (Hanyang Univ in Ansan station) and would be able to pick people up if need be. Or else, there is a bus that goes from the station to my place (600w)...

Anyway, I hope this will be a good opportunity for some of the new people in Ansan to get together...

RSVP and see you soon!!!

Hanson

Hey there, VanGuy, you're the one and only person who has RSVPed me so far. Crying or Very sad But I'm hoping others will join in the fun. I guess I'll bump this thread a few times, in case some people have missed it.

Perhaps people already have plans for Chuseok weekend? If so, perhaps I should push it back a week?

We'll see how it goes... Come on, Ansaners, you ready for a BBQ? Post here and join in on the fun!

PS: I'm even thinkin' of filling up a small pool!

Hi everyone,

Thanks for replying and showing interest in my BBQ idea.

Ok, here's the deal. I just checked the weather forecast for this weekend, and it doesn't look good. They're forecasting thunderstorms for this area (Ansan) on Saturday.

So here's what I suggest, cuz I still want to hold this BBQ: I'll check the forecast again over the next two days, and if they're still predicting rain, I'll postpone it until the following Saturday (24th). If the forecast changes, and it looks like the weather will be good, I'll hold it this Saturday (17th).

How does that sound? I'm definitely going to have a BBQ, but I want it to be good for everyone. And my friends know that I can throw a kick-a$$ BBQ!

So I'll keep you posted!

Send me a pm if you need any extra info. All are welcome!!!

Well, I'm still checking the weather forecast

and it doesn't look good at all. They are predicting thunderstorms from Friday to Sunday - looks like a rainy Chuseok.

Looks like I'll postpone the BBQ until the 24th, people. Mark it in your calendars!

Cheers,

Hanson

Sorry, VanGuy,

I should've come back on here to mention it - I'm putting on the BBQ on Oct.1st since many of my friends couldn't make it today...

Sorry about the late notice and for not letting you know sooner - my bad.

But definitely, DEFINITELY (cross my heart & hope to die - stick a needle in my eye!) Oct. 1st is THE day for the BBQ. I think I'll start a new thread to announce it.
