I have a handful of stories to tell, but I dont usually bother with that kind of pretense (usually). Considering my last foray into writing about my relationships with Korean girls, my stories might be considered too risque for this forum.
I will say that 'Language Exchange' is often just a code word to meet someone of the opposite sex, though. For Korean girls who are supposed to be 'conservative', a reasonable excuse to meet a foreigner is needed, and helps her save face.
I would be willing to relate a story but really, this thread would probably be deleted not long after it is posted. |
maybe you remember that from the "what's your best language exchange story" thread.
so the question becomes are these dudes racist or psychic? because they sure called on you that.
and the question you have to ask yourself is: if a korean man accepted your invitation, would you do it? |
I already did accept an offer from a Korean man. I put up another notice in another shop run by a husband and wife. The husband is Japanese so I explained it to him, and he kindly allowed me to put up a notice (I lend him lots of Japanese books, so he is well disposed to me).
I got an email from a Korean man that is working as a professor in a Japanese university (in sociology). He also has a lot of experience teaching Korean, so I am pleased to be able to do the exchange with him.
As I said in the post above, I dont have any need to resort to ploys like language exchanging to get girls. Still, its true that many Korean girls say they want to learn English as an excuse to get to know foreigners. Without that, most of the guys on daves wouldnt even be dating. |

Perhaps the south is a shadow of the north? |
