I'd like to get my hometown sports fix in Korea.

Hmmm, sounds interesting. How do you figure you would be able to get your hometown sports to Korea? Would your family back home be willing to put one on their tv? I looked at the site but couldn't tell whether the slingbox allowed you to watch one channel while the TV's tuner was on another channel...

I'm going to look for a product review.

EDIT: here's one:

another:

and one more:

And the last one answers my question, which coincidentally should be your question too conor- "monopolizes the attached device". So you'd need to find family or friend in your hometown viewing area would be willing to hook this up to a spare TV.

Not a spare TV, but a cable line. You can just plug the coaxial cable in to the Slingbox from the wall without connecting to a TV. The software on your computer will allow you to change the channels. Almost every room in US homes today are cable ready. If you do hook it to a cable line/dvr/satellite/ that is also connected to a TV then you will be at the mercy of the TV viewer. What I'm worried about the most is the upload speed of the home connection. If it's not fast enough then your video will be choppy. That's why I'm wondering if anybody uses it in Korea from the US or across continents.
