Well I get weekends off anyway and my school has the odd concept of an 'optional' holiday on Friday. I'm off Monday and Tuesday too. Me and friends intend to raise hell in Seoul while it's relatively quiet! Very Happy

Five days--Fri thru Tuesday. Originally I was only gettting the three days off, but the principal decided at the last moment that I could have the same days as the Korean staff were getting. Probably because I live 20 minutes by car away from the school and someone would have to drive me there and back thus giving up part of their vacation.

Only Monday ... but got a pleasent surprise when I arrived at school yesterday.

Me: "Good morning VicePrincipal Kim"
VP Kim: "Ah, JacktheCat Teacher, we forgot tell you yesterday. Today is only half day. Finish 12pm."
Me: " Shocked Very Happy "

Now if they had only told me in time to actually do something with it.

I got the same thing, Friday afternoon, when I was told for the first time that it would be a four-day weekend...

I notice a lot of you guys are saying you only get Monday off. I wonder if that 'only Monday' includes Saturday and Sunday ??? or if it is really just Monday??

no, not all of us have cushy jobs.

Since I only have 2 days off a month I was really looking forward to three days off in a row. But unfortunately my hagwon's dear leader found a way to make good use of this supposed rest time.....Teacher Flossie, this weekend students not come school, big big bacation. but they want study (read: i want their money) so you can teach by webcam!!! Good idea, no? Shocked Mad

Still, instead of trying to find somewhere to go, I can earn three weeks wages in three days without even leaving my home. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy (no need for sly jokes, here Wink )
