Whats your score? I first took this test about a year ago when my Vietnamese roommate called me a racist bastard after I said that all Asian pretty much look the same.
After living in Korea and visiting Japan, my score is slightly better, 9. It says Im ok! Im Glad. |

I got a 4. I've taken this test before. It's bogus because all but a quarter of the photos are clearly American or Canadian. They may call themselves "Chinese" or "Japanese" or "Korean" but you and I wouldn't. My error was guessing "Japanese" too often because the people wore fashions that would be impossible to see in China or Korea. |

Furthermore, I'm unaware of any Asian culture where people routinely smile in photographs. |

Why do they need to know something about us? Will that influence the end result? |

7, but I have to agree with him, the number of loaded questions. Plus, I can't prove it, because I didn't make the test. I am willing to argue, that some of the answers are chosen to be wrong. Anyone want to prove me wrong? Some of the choices are correct, but the result is wrong.
Ok, flame, but why are you 100% sure? |

I am sorry I didn't explain. If I do a test, it should have no add ons. No computer decided points about race, age to influence the score. I think that if this is asked, then it must be added on to the score or why ask it in the first place.
Its not american issue, the result is just not feasible unless issues are imputed. The photos's by themselves, I wouldn't change my answers, but the answers are inconclusive. |

I would have to agree that there are probable mostly, if not all, North Americans. But I think the point was to see if you could tell the difference between ethnic Chinese, Japanese, and Koreans; Just according to facial features. As soon as my girlfriend gets back from visiting her mom for the holidays, Im going to ask her to do it. Im not sure if she would do any better, shes Korean. |

I got a 9, but I'm pretty good at this when it's in person. Have to say som of those pictures you just had to guess because they were terrible pictures. |

16/18 but then, I've lived in Korea and China... The key to doing well is everytime you think they are trying to intentionally screw you up (with clothes or hair or tongue piercing etc.) choose the one that seems logical, don't try to second guess the test-maker. |

i would guess that the questions about the quiz taker is not to affect the scoring but to keep a survey
also, i have noticed that koreans in korea without much exposure to other asians are horrible at spotting the ethnicity of other asians
asians living in multicultural countries like the states are better at distinguishing the various ethnicities |

There are faces in several Asian countries that look like they could be from any of them, just like whites or blacks I guess. Now if you could see their behavior a bit it might be easier. |
