I got a 6. It seems like they intentionally put difficult ones in there. Like the skinny guy with long hair.. I thought he was Japanese, but it says he's Chinese.

My result: "You obviously can't tell the difference."

Makes me wonder if the test creator determined the races, or cheated by having the photograph subjects' information on hand.

Looking forward to the western Europe test,
Q~

The test is meaningless... how would Chinese, Japanese or Korean people do if asked to distinguish between English, French and German? Shocked For that matter, how would any European do on the same test? .... and how would Asians do on this?

I am sorry I didn't explain. If I do a test, it should have no add ons. No computer decided points about race, age to influence the score. I think that if this is asked, then it must be added on to the score or why ask it in the first place.

Its not american issue, the result is just not feasible unless issues are imputed. The photos's by themselves, I wouldn't change my answers, but the answers are inconclusive.

Man I hope you're not an English teacher because this is your second message that comes across as absolutely unintelligible. It sounds like you're taking issue with the demographic survey questions at the beginning of the test. Perhaps you think they influence the score? That doesn't seem likely. They assuredly ask these questions for statistical purposes... they want to see whether people of different nationalities have different average scores.

Please take an English class.

There are faces in several Asian countries that look like they could be from any of them, just like whites or blacks I guess.

That's a strange thing to say. Some Europeans are very easy to pick out, and there are certainly major differences between African ethnic groups. Once you get to know a handful of Somalis, for example, you'll be able to made an educated guess the next time you meet someone from that neighbourhood.

i agree that its about as hard to pick out canadians, americans, and english than these 3 groups of asians...HOWEVER, we have way more immigrants and mixed heritage than most koreans, chinese and japanese. I did well on the test by picking out all the ones with defined eyebrows and hairlines, and more western noses as japanese. ive noticed japanese tend to look just a tad more western. korean and chinese are WAY more difficult (i.e. impossible) to deferentiate for me without haircut and clothing (and whining!) cues.

7. I can't tell the difference. Well, hell when I went to Taiwan with my Korean gf everyone thought she was Japanese, so I don't feel too bad about it.
