I bought some nice new Jordache jeans at the Wal-Mart today, celebrating my recent weight loss (which I must admit was partly due to my coming down with tonsilitis earler this month and hardly eating for a week) and failed to notice the significance of the short zipper until just now in the PC-bang. I excused myself to the men's facilities and, approaching the urinal, discovered that the zipper doesn't go -down- far enough for me to conveniently get my stuff out. I had to struggle a bit with everything down there, and I believe the fellow standing at the adjacent fixture may have thought I crossed the boundaries of propriety.
Question: Do all Korean mens' blue jeans have -short- zippers, or did I simply make an unlucky choice? |

I've noticed the same thing in a couple of pairs i bought here. The other thing is that Korean jeans are short from the waist to the crotch so they are way too snug where it counts and ride up my butt.
And why do Korean jackets zip up on the opposite side? |

You sure they aren't women's jeans? Men's jeans / trousers usually come with about a 34" leg, women's with 31', the idea being that you (or you're ajumma / omma if you're a guy) hem them yourself. So hence jeans or pants that would fit an average guy in the shop may well be womens. But this is Korea, so don't be afraid to metrosexual it up, especially if can't sew hwangangsil ajumma. |

Indeed the legs are too long. The seamstress in the Wal-Mart was on Chuseok vacation so I'll have to get them hemmed on Tuesday. I'm surprised the legs are so short, actually. In Taiwan and Hong Kong they make them really long, longer than any customer ought to need, and hem them right in the store. (Wal-Mart's seamstress is in the dry cleaning service area four stories above the clothing department.)

I have a ghetto booty. I can not find pants that fit me in this country. |

I recently bought a pair like that too. They're nice jeans but they suck for urinals. It might just be the new style. I've bought a few pairs here before and had no trouble gettin my junk out. |

I have nothing against the concept of stylistic change, but I have to wonder about what transpires within the fashion industry.
"I propose," the enthusiastic young designer began, "that we create a new breed of pants, one that renders our customers incapable of comfortable, unfettered urination." |

Was at the zoo yesterday and saw the Asian Elephant. Let me tell you, it's not true what they say about Asian males. |

Guys. low rider jeans ( with necesarily shorter zippers) are trendy now for women. I suspect you guys are wearing womens jeans. |

They aren't low rider jeans. There is plenty of room for a regular sized zipper. I had the thought that they might be women's jeans the first time I had to use the washroom wearing them. My girlfreind agrees that they are much too long in the zipper area for a woman to wear. There is room for a zipper 3x longer than the one on there. |
