That's stupid. Change Jesus to Christianity and you might have a point. |
Change Mithridates to someone who has a point, and then you might have a point. |
Then explain to me in the same fashion how George Washington is responsible for the policies of the administration post 9-11. I'm all ears. |
What are you on? |

Christianity can help you have a fulfilled life. A beer can help you become an alcoholic. |
Vice-versa is more likely.
A beer can help you have a fulfilled life. The latter will just make you a christaholic. |

don't get caught up in the semantics, word-nerd. "jesus" sounds better than "christianity" in this case.
i thought it was kinda funny. |
Word-nerd?
Oh right, word-nerd. Not so much that as the fact that I used to be a regular on alt.atheism for quite some time and I'm used to some actual debate. There's also very little humour over there. Carry on. |

I'll take Jesus and the beer too.. no one said you had to choose!
Some sources claim that Shakespeare was a secret Catholic sympathizer. If so, he would hardly have assisted in writing the King James Bible for the Protestants, even if one is foolish enough to believe that one individual could translate the entire OT and NT in their spare time. Shakespeare did not know Hebrew and knew only slight Greek.

Beer is real, whereas Jesus is mythological. |

Wine is more real than beer in my opinion, but I agree with the Jesus and mythological side of your debate. |

Imbibo, ergo sum.
No, really, beer is definitely real. Nothing flawed about it.
I'm interested as to how wine can be more real than beer though. Is it an alcohol content thing? Is whisky more real than wine?
(I'm getting the seed of a basis for a religion here...) |

Why flawed? I see no flaw whatsoever there. |

I simply prefer wine to beer - that's all. They are both certainly real. I just have the preference for wine. I wasn't trying to imply that wine was anymore 'real' than beer.!!! |

I have a better idea. Why don't you prove to me that it is flawed?
In vino veritas. |
