|
|
Hey,
I've spent way too much time over the past month trying to track down the new 30 lesson Pimsleur Korean course. I've tried torrents, newsgroups, emule, limewire... soulseek. Haven't found it. It's out there somewhere!
If you have it or are part of some massive file sharing group that I didn't stumble upon... please help me out! Any help appreciated! Thanks.
Please note, 30 lesson version! |

I bought it. If you get it free, I suppose it's a great resource. But for the price they charge, I can't recommend it. |

The accent is the best part about the cd's. I submitted a written version of many of the phrases I heard on the lessons, and my Korean friend had to correct a lot of them, as they were apparently wrong, or awkward.
Strange thing too: In the last 3-5 cd's or so (there are 15), the Korean people speaking the script seem hard put to remain straight faced. They speak the parts as if saying to themselves, "What American wrote this doggeral? It's absolute crap! It's funny as hell, but it's crap."
Cheers, |

So it's pretty much like many of the "English" textbooks written in Korean. I will be sitting in my class with my students reading a practice conversation to them before they practice and just stop....which my students now know means that there's a problem. Things like "Can you show me how to do?" "Sure, listen..."
I'll just look up, shake my head, and say "OK, here's another stupid conversation, let's just skip it."

ah... so you want a step by step on how to do illegal activities...
You'll probably need to go elsewhere. I already gave you the best answer, buy them if they are so important to you. |

Pimsleur Spanish was quality, even if the Korean version isn't too hot it'd still be worth my time. It'll turn up somewhere.
Thanks for the...... bump Superhero! |
