Their HOMELAND?! That's funny, because according to Bush et al, many if not most of these terrorists operating in Iraq are from somewhere else, slipping over the border to wreak havoc. Now you're suggesting that Iraq itself is the homeland of not only Iraqi terrorism, but of all the terrorism that was bedeviling the US even before the invasion. Well, which is it?

Here is the quote I was talking about. Italics are mine, and used to draw emphasis to what you said. We can clearly see that you are saying that I am claiming Iraq is the homeland of terrorism

Ah... just came to me... a passing resemblance to Anne Frank, no?

Perhaps if Anne Frank had been an Irish-American lapsed Catholic and one-time Trotskyite from Seattle, yeah.

Thanks for asking, by the way.

I have no choice but to admit my error. Thanks for pointing it out.

However, by 'terrorism", I did mean terrorists, in the sense of "the homeland of the terrorists". Because that is clearly what you meant in using the word "terrorist". So my argument in my last post to you, which can be found on the previous page, still applies.

The use of the phrase "take the fight to the terrorists homeland" implies that the terrorists who have been wreaking havoc all over the world are from Iraq. If this were true, then the "flypaper" strategy might have a small modicum of ethical merit, because at least you'd be fighting the battle in the country that gave rise to the terrorists in the first place. However, since Iraq has produced relatively few of the international terrorists, and since Rumsfeld et al claim that FOREIGN terrorists are moving into Iraq, I can only assume that the point of the"flypaper" strategy is to lure terrorists from OUTSIDE Iraq into Iraq for a showdown with coalition forces. As such, I am quite unimpressed with the crocodile tears Rumsfeld et al are shedding for the Iraqi victims of terrorism, and reject any calls from those people and their apologists that I publically condemn terrorism in Iraq.

Is this the post you are referring to? In any case the phrase "take the fight to the terrorist homeland" was mine not Rumsfeld's so I don't know why you'd be talking about the "flypaper strategy" as if it were

Regardless the U.S. did not invade Iraq to implement a "flypaper strategy" Nor am I championing such a strategy.

What I have been saying is that in a best case scenario there would be no foreign terrorists attacking America. However since there are it is best that they confine their efforts to Iraq where there are substantial numbers of U.S. troops to counter them rather than they (the terrorists) switch their efforts to the American homeland.

In other words if foreign terrorists are going to attack anyway, it's better they do it in Iraq than in America.

I'm sorry but Bush created more so called terrorists by killing and attacking innocent people that had absolutely nothing to do with 9/11 because the last time I checked Bin Laden was in Afghanistan and not in Iraq. And majority of the fighters in Iraq are Iraq's that had nothing to do with 9/11 and the small percentage of foreign fighters are fighting in Iraq not because they want to come over to the U.S. lol but because it is every Muslims duty to fight those who try and kill you or your brother it's an Islamic duty. Its U.S. foreign policy that cause terrorism its been proven time and time again. And to blindly fallow an administration based on lies makes you a Liar to believe such venom that spews out of that Nazis (Bushs) mouth.

If a mideast regime taught hate , incited violence, planned terror , or funded Al Qadai then they are the cause of 9-11.

Al Qaida fights to conquer the midast and then for the Calphate.

Where were they when Saddam gassed MUSLIM Kurds?Where were they when Khomeni killed tens of thousands?Where were they when Haffaz Assad destroyed the city of Hama in 1982?Where were they when Bin Laden and the Taliban killed thousands of muslims?

Really gives us examples.

US foreign policy where the US saved MUSLIM Kuwait , where the US protected MUSLIM Kurds? US foreign policy when the US protected Shias from Saddam? US foreign policy when the US protected MUSLIMS in Kosovo from Slobidan? How about Somalia where the US tried to protect muslims?

The closest things to the Nazis in the world along with the Klan are Bathists, Khomeni lovers and Bin Laden followers. They are nothing but fascist bigots for real What they want is illegimate and the less of them or their supporters in the world there are the better.
