|
|
I know this is a bit of a long shot but is anyone using a ZoneTV2 TV Tuner from Digital Zone? I bought one the other day and installed the software and the USB operated tuner. The software seems to be working fine except it can't 'capture the hardware device' Every time I open the software it comes up with all the little tv screens and menu bars and stuff but no tv coverage. Just the message saying it cant capture the hardware device.
I've tried deleting the software but it says I'm not authorised (I'm using the Control Panel add/delete files function which worked well the other day on other stuff).
I've emailed the support address but they say they only support the software and I have to email someone else for hardware support.
Any help greatly appreciated. |

One of your problems appears to be that you are not using an administrator account if you are not able to delete from the add/remove programs. Is there an uninstaller for the program at the Start button Programs list? Have you tried that?
Can't capture the hardware device... have you checked the device manager to see if anything is amiss?
Right click 'My Computer' on the desktop, select Device Manager, look for any yellow circles with exclamation marks in them. |

Thanks so much for your advice Bulsajo. Really clear, even I (self-confessed computer dummy) could follow it. I managed to delete everything except one file it said was protected. When I re-installed everything though, it works well. Reception sucks but will buy a cable to connect to the wall jack. That will be better I think.
Again, thanks. |
