Can we add Korean Misconceptions About Foreigners?
How about, "Don't Call Them Monkeys!"
Or, "Are They Hairy, Or Are We Naked?"
Seriously, Korean kids don't appear to be accustomed to speaking for themselves, so guidance does seem to be a better approach. I have usually brought in a small group discussion topic, or similar, book and let them go through a series of votes till a choice is made. Seems to lessen their ansiety about taking control of the classroom experience and expressing an individual opinion.

Don't know if girls would be so interested in soccer, but the other three would work well; I'll add them to the list. |
