Sounds like we have a get-together.

Let's set it for October 8th, say around 5pm, at the Konkuk Uni area.

I'll do some reconisence this weekend and find a place that'll take a large group of waegukins and perhaps give us a discount.

The 8th is sound with me too. Indeed, it's my birthday around that time so you can all buy me free drinks and food all night! Just kidding obviously. Can I bring a pal or two?

Konkuk Uni is a dreadfully long way away from me, but I'll just have to put up with it, I guess. If any of you are coming from the Eungam-dong/Eunpyeong-Gu area (inner-northwest Seoul) please lemme know so we can share taxis on the way home, assuming we finish after subway closes.

We can discount SPINOZA for the door-prize for travelling the greatest distance, even if he thinks it's far from home to Konkuk.

It's actually not quite as far as I thought initially, to be fair...about 50 mins/an hour and 17 stops on the Green Line + 7 stops on the Brown to transfer. Very Happy

You're actually lucky. A lot of us aren't even on the subway line at all.

True that. I'm about an hour (train distance) away from the nearest line.

I'm also about an hour to the nearest subway line. The Pusan line.

I'm feeling a bit left out. The women are organizing a clothing swap party on another thread and that is something that just would not occur to a male. Could we maybe multi-task at this deal and swap clothes as well as network? I just think we males have to try harder to keep up with current trends.

As said, this first meeting will be a loose nit kind of thing. To get a guage on things and see what everyone is interested in doing in future meetings.

No set agenda or plan. Those who want to talk shop and network can do that. Those who want to socalize and have a fun time can do that.

All I ask is that you spot me man won (10,000) at the start for food and drinks, so that I don't get stiffed with some ridiculosly high bill at the end. After, say, 9pm it's buy your own.

Please note also the new poll so I can get an idea of how many are coming.
