Does European cautiousness in admitting Turkey into the EU equate to Islamophobia?

Well, for one, there already are a large # of Muslims living in the EU. Moreover, my impression is that Europeans are primarily concerned with Turkey's HUMAN RIGHTS record.

Not that impressive ... is it?

Personally, i wouldn't be too keen on allowing islamic radickals into my house.

Turkey is pretty much secular, at least officially, no? I could be wrong but I think it's only recently they've loosened the laws restricting religous expression. They need to improve their human rights record, period.
