Thinking of going down to Busan for the film festival next weekend (Oct 15-16)

Any advice? Anyone know where it is, or how much, or how easy it is to get to it from the train/bus station?

Any help at all would be welcome! Thanks!

Website says it ends Wednesday, Oct. 12.

Are English subtitles available with these movies? The foreign films will certainly have Korean.

If there's no English then I doubt it would be worth while to go.

You might not be able to get tickets. I could be wrong, but I remember a newspaper article about them trying to get rid of scalpers. Tickets were going for W300,000 -- 400,000.

The majority of films are subtitled in English... AND Korean added on a split narrow side screen. Look on the program for clear colour-coding info on which films are subtitled into which languages.

The films are 5000 won each.

If there were scalpers, it was for the premiere opening or to see Jackie Chan and BoA. More tickets are available, perhaps by design to limit scalping.

There are lines to buy tickets ongoing, long but many are successful getting last-minute tickets. I avoided the line by pre-purchasing tickets online two weeks ago. But I've witnessed a lot of people getting theirs less than an hour before a show.

Walk on down to Nampodong and take part in the excitement this week if you've got the time. It's worth checking out.
