Grisoft AVG doesn't support 64.
If you're running 64, what AV do you use?
Avast?
Are there any other free AV programs that support 64? |

I wouldn't know personally, but I'm guessing- NO.
Due to: incompatibility problems with software such as- ANTI VIRUS SOFTWARE.
I'm helping a buddy who got sold a system with 64 as the OEM by some pimply-faced kid who convinced him that he needed it to go with his 64bit system (also sold to him by the same pimply-faced kid) and to settle for anything less would doom him to obsolescence by next week.
As time goes on it makes sense that the compatibility problems will lessen, but I can't see a real reason to buy 64 now, except to brag on geek message boards that you have the nitro hot-rod of operating systems or something. |

| I'm more upset about it than my buddy. I want to go back and talk to the manager but my friend is mellow and just wants to let it ride as long as he can get some a/v. He doesn't do much with his computer (which is why he should have been sold the pc equivalent of a station wagon instead of the equivalent of an Italian sports car). |
