I just realized that I walked 11 km today. Usually 7. If you live in Seoul you can check here:
http://www.freemap.net
Or just estimate. |

I found that I definitely walked a lot more than I did back home. I like it that houses and commercial stuff are all mixed up in Korea, making it easy to walk to the post office and grocery store. Plus, not having a car or bike makes a big difference too. |

I did so much walking I got shinsplits. my shins were damaged!!
but I have always had no problem walking.. and I walk fast too..
my days as a waiter I would walk for 6 -8 hours no problem..
I got back to seoul last week.. I had lost 4 kilos hahahaha
but this last week.. I have probably only walked 1 hour a day
of course sundays is more.
but if you count treadmill.. then im about 2 hours a day guy.. |

i'm curious how many steps (stairs) I climb a day...
my office is on the 5th floor (no elevator), and the best place for a smoke break is on B1....
every subway stop (particularly Ewha) seems close to the center of the earth
heck...who needs stairmaster??? |

10-20 minutes, to/from the bus stop and wherever I'm eating that day- I'm still riding my bike though, there's nothing like the thrill of trying to get across 4 lanes of traffic without a taxi driver clipping your back wheel. |

I walk to work, across town, so about ten minutes each way.
But a couple of times a week I take an extra fifteen minutes to walk to a nearby sandy beach, even this time of year, as it's very relaxing and scenic.
I pity all those people who spend a total of an hour a day underground in subways and/or crowded buses.
Quality of life. |

I think tonight I might go to a Nepalese restaurant, or maybe just that place that does the excellent falafel. |

I walk home from school, which takes about 40 mins - the best part of 3 miles.
I make the odd trip down the stream to World Cup Stadium too like last night (and back) which must be 6 miles total.
I can never be bothered walking to school in the mornings.
Average walking pace is 1 mile (1.6km) per 15 mins, if anyone's daft enough to be interested in that useless fact. |

Sounds like a good idea. Maybe I'll book those tickets to that musical the chick wanted to see tonight. Thinking about getting out in that "nature" stuff on Sunday. |
