This is just a question about place of work. It was originally in the general topic as I thought it might be of general interest, but it was accidentally erased in the transition, so here goes again.
I have recently seen a shift from a more Hagwon based discussion when I first started to a more public school based discussion on Daves. So if you want to state where you work, then please do so.
Well I had an extra on the general for Self employed, Hagwon Owners, etc. This topic doesn't accept that, so if you are other please just say other. |

Yes, there are a few more public school teachers these days, but their numbers are still vastly dwarfed by the numbers of those working at hackwons.
However, public school teachers have a lot more free time during the day to *beep* around on the office computer, thus posting more on Dave's than your hackwon slave who has to work flat out. |

I work at a private middle school, but i rarely hear anything about private schools (not hakwons). are they really rare? i have been in korea for a bit over a year, and only worked at my current school, so just curious... |

There are 'private' public schools like mine and yours, which are run by organisations/foundations/trusts/corporations/etc. which are fairly common and then there are International Private Schools which are very rare. |

Hogwan. It's a good gig. Boss is great, never any of the usual BS that goes with working at a hogwan. We've had three go bust and three new ones open, unbelievable. |
