POINTS FOR WEEK 6!
man of the year emailed me this message for you all.
A NOTE FROM MAN OF THE YEAR, creator and governor of this contest: CONTEST RULE: 'you CANNOT pick a Monday Night Football bonus round team as 1 of your pick 3 teams and you CANNOT pick the same team twice in the same week.'
so if you picked indy as 1 of your pick 3 teams and MNF bonus picks, you are NOT rewarded the point.
jurassic5 is the big winner this week 6 scoring a perfect 3 out of 3 and nailing that MNF boney for an outstanding 6 point cool burn, baby. all within the rules of the contest, too! he don't need no gimmicky trick pick to win this game.

thx for clearing up the MNF bonus & pick 3 vs. MNF questions.
Yet some picked MNF as their Pick 3s, too. I'm not mathematical,
but I guess it didn't matter, or it was compensated for? They kind
of wasted a pick?
The Indy/STL game was good. Had I watched it before knowing the
outcome, I would have been nuts. Too bad they both scored so much.
Anyway, 2 points out, and feeling good about next week.
I guess I'll make my week 7 picks early.
Washington, Philadelphia, Oakland
Atlanta (49)
Seattle's a grand pick, but I can't bet against my boys in Dallas.
Anyone picking Seattle over my Dallas boys is a TURD.

Yeah, I'm not liking that too much.. about half of the people did the MNF pick this turn as we've seen it has an established history already this season.
Either it has to have a warning, or it shouldn't have counted the other 5 weeks previous to it which established it as counting. |

OK, THANKS FOR CLEARING UP THE MONDAY NIGHT PROBLEM BUT THERE IS NO WAY YOU SHOULD LET IT EFFECT THE POINTS THIS WEEK. WE DIDN'T KNOW THAT THOSE WERE THE RULES. THAT WAS NEVER POSTED ON THIS THREAD. IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN THE INTEGRITY OF THE GAME, YOU HAVE TO AWARD THE POINTS FOR THIS WEEK AND START THE 'NEW' RULE FOR NEXT WEEKS PICK. |

Actually, I didn't know it was a rule either. I can't see the harm in having one of a person's picks being the MNF - the same odds come into play. I think this rule should apply as of next week, if indeed at all.
NOW, in order to dissuade against people posting their picks at the last minute (to gain the MNF point advantage), why not make a "sub rule" that in the event of a split decision - say the score was "37" and Team A picked "36" and Team B picked "38", that the point would go the team who placed their picks first.
The way I see it, the vulturing on Sunday Night has to stop! |

supernova,
the rule was never told to us!
i want to pick indy this week but i'm afraid a new rule will surface disallowing teams that start with 'I' when playing teams that start with 'H'. can you see my point?
funny, 5 of the top 6 teams had indy.
WE NEED YOUR FINAL RULING ON THIS PLEASE SUPERNOVA! |
