Hi all,

I am looking for a book store in Busan that carries books written in English. Does anyone know of such a store? I am looking for one in particular that carries LSAT study material.

Hey. Your best bet is probably Kyobo. Or maybe Kim and Johnson's. Sometimes you have to look hard. The best way might be to find what you're looking for on-line first and then bring the title, pub, and ISBN to the store. If they don't have it in stock, they might have it in Suh-ool and it takes about a week for them to order it from there.

I've got some free time today and was thinking about coming in to Pusan.

Can anyone give me directions to Kyobo? I'm only a little bit familiar with the city. A very little bit.

Use www.whatthebook.com.

Great service, and cheaper than the other bookstores.

Your best bet is Young Kwang book store in Seomyeon. Go downstairs. They have the best selection of English language books I've found in Busan. Not that other places don't have English books, but Young Kwang has more..........way more.

Not just EFL stuff either, although they have plenty of that.

Anyhooo, good luck.

Directions: Get off at Seomyeon subway terminal. Walk down the hallway towards the Lotte department store. Go past the washrooms on your left and the ticket machines on your right.
Take the stairs to the right just before the big ramp. (not the ones with the escalator but the next set)

When you get up the stairs, walk directly ahead, through the little park thingy. The street turns to the left, walk around the bend. The second or third building on your right is Young Kwang bookstore....you can't miss it. They have tables with books and videos/DVD's outside.

Not sure if you're already here or not, but the best thing is to get to Seo-myeon...not sure how you're coming here. Anyway, at Suh-myuhn Rotary, there are five different roads. One approach: after passing Lotte Hotel/Department store(with them on your right), you want to take the next main right at the Rotary(just after the new Pohang Steel bldg with Starbucks on the ground floor). After turning right, cross to the left-side of the street and walk for about 300m...it's a little after a new department store under construction and a little before VIPs. You can enter on the ground floor, but most of the books are in the basement.

Thanks for the directions, some way-gugin/denverdeath. Between the two, I should be able to find it. But then, I've been known to get lost and pee in my own closet. (Well, not since I was a little kid, but then...)

Pay 1,500 won to have a taxi take you to "Young Kwang" book store. From there it's easy to get directions back to the subway.

Hassle free.

Not many. There's a place in Nampodong where I've gotten it a few times.

But yeah, before one feels comfortable ordering the fast free delivery of online purchasing in Korea, the Young Kwang bookstore is the place to go in Busan.
