It's the shizzle...they've been blathering about opening since I got here almost a year ago and now the job is done. Instead of the aforementioned 7-8,000 won cab (the bus can straight up go to hell) I can now get downtown in like 15 or 16 minutes from e-mart........the Keimyung stop kinda sucks though IMO it's in a weird place. |

It is a strange location. The one I use is up the line one stop- that is the village down the hill from our Keimyung housing. The whole line runs along the Dalgubeoldaero, and that seems to be the closest good place for the university stop. We are the only university it connects directly with- if a couple of blocks from either gate, so it is hard to complain.
All in all, it's a great time for Daegu- at least for us connected by the subway! |

Do you find that Koreans stare more at foreigners on the subway than on the bus? What's up with that? No-one notices me on my daily bus route. I've taken the subway two times now and both times there's been like an ethereal hush around me, with everyone's eyes fixed on my face like I'm going to give an inspirational speech if they just watch long enough.
Maybe it's just because there isn't anything outside to look at? |
