Today, sixty years ago, would have been the first day of the invasion of Japan...had the Japanese not surrendered.

Truce, mate!

I have googled this battle between Sparta and Arcadia in the year 367BC. Appearantly the Spartans won, coming through it without losing a man. The Arcadians, not so lucky.

Other than reference to 'Operation Olympic', the codename for the invasion of Kyushu, I find no connection to anything Hellenistic.

IOW, I don't follow.

You may answer, after which we shall resume sniping at one another.
