Hi, I've looked all over the place and I can not seem to find a concise list of the top 10 or 20 unis in Korea. Does anyone know of such a list? I see every uni claiming to be in the top 10 or 20 but no actual list. (thanks RR in advance Laughing )

Pohang still Korea's No. 1 school
Pohang University of Science and Technology was ranked as the nation's best university in the Joong-Ang Ilbo's 2004 survey of Korean colleges. The Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology ranked second, followed by Seoul National, Yonsei and Korea universities. The rankings of Inha University, Kyung Hee University, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and Konkuk University rose this year.

On Shanghai Jiao Tong University's list of the world's most famous 500 universities, SNU ranked within the 153-201 group. Yonsei University barely scraped the 300-or-over group, while KAIST, Pohang University of Science and Technology and Sungkyunkwan University ranked lower than 400. Hanyang University, Korea University and Kyungbuk University fared even worse at being placed below 500.

Academic Pay Not Linked to Prestige, Says Salary Study

It is far better for a korean student to enter a top-level university. It means they get to sluff off for four years in the company of students who are at a higher level of intelligence than if they attended a regular univ.
