E7 - No Release Letter Needed??

I was told you do not need a release letter for an E7 visa. Has anyone changed jobs on an E7 without a release letter?

Who told you this? If it was an Immigration person, then they likely know what they are talking about, though this is not always the case

If it was someone on this board on the other hand....check it out

You cannot change jobs on an E-7 visa, mainly because you are invited by a specific government ministry to come here to work. If you change jobs, you have to reapply for your E-7, have another ministry to give you that invitation letter in order to process it.

That's why I'm asking if anyone has experience with this. Even if you get an answer from immigration, who knows if it's the right one.
