I didn't quote the entire article due to its length. I did not try to hide anything. |
This is the funniest thing I've read on these forums for a while.
The article as you quoted it was quite long to start with, long enough that most would think it was the entire thing, so leaving out 3 paragraphs that detract from your message was obviously an attempt at deception. You also neglected to provide a link, which made it more obvious that you didn't want anyone here to read the whole article, especially the parts provided by Doutdes.

I might be wrong, but didn't Bush talk about giving or give amnesty to illegal immigrants? |
I think maybe he did. Amnesty was tried in California and it did a lot of good. These are people who have been working jobs and maintaining communities for years, raising kids and making a contribution to America. The man in charge of the state at the time was Pete Wilson, an uber-Repub and a conservative's conservative.
Real conservatives do not hate people because of their country of origin or the color of their skin or their religion, but there are those who hitch their wagons to the train who can be described that way accurately.
Big Business is not the least bit afraid of illegal immigrants in America. In fact, they like exploiting people with rock-bottom, under-the-counter wages and keeping them frightened of a phone call to La Migra. They not only save money on the illegal people working cheaply, they are also able to keep wages down for the rest of the home-grown American workers.
Me, I've never been able to figure out how we can go around saying that free trade is the cure for all the world's ills and yet free movement of labor is one of the choicest of evils we face ... |
