I do think a lot of teams are going to overlook the Raps and thusly be prime for a few upsets... |
Definitely, look for them to upset both the Bobcats and the Hawks. |

Magloire traded to the Bucks for Desmond Mason, 2006 1st rounder and cash..
I think it's a bit much for Jamal.. and what about Bogut! He instantly becomes bench fodder... maybe Andrew hasn't impressed enough in pre-season games..
A good centre is obviously hard to find, and Jamal will fare better playing in the East, but I stilll think Milwaulkee gave up too much... |

Bogut will be the starting pf. Less pressure and can play off of Magloire.
I think it was a good deal for the Bucks. Its basically a mid first rounder for a good starting C. Mason is a nothing player, he wasnt gonna play any decent minutes this year. Dude is a 6'5 SF, that cant really shoot. He's like MIlt Palacio, but with a better physique. |

I know this is a longshot, but is there any chance ONE of the opening night games will be shown on Korean cable tomorrow morning?

fat chance.
anyone know if its possible to get one of the other AFN sports packages. Nascar sunday night was the last draw. pretty sure AFN Korea will only show a handful of NBA games. |

I think Milwaukee won that trade hands-down...The Bucks don't need Mason (T-dot's right, he CAN'T shoot)--they got Redd (who can shoot the lights out), and Simmons who does a little of everything (and very well) that already play on the perimeter. Magloire is a top-10 (and All-Star)center, and it is crucial to have a solid big man if you want to make the play-offs....Players like Mason are a dime a dozen, while a guy like Magloire is rare...Trading small for big is always a wise decision...I think the Bucks (if they stay healthy) will snag a 7/8 seed in the East... |

Since Thursday, there's been an NBA game on one cable channel or another for the past three days. Super Action had the Kings/Rockets, Star Sports had the Heat/Pacers (heartbreaker), and MBC/ESPN had the Cavs/Spurs (the champs made Lebron and co. look like a high school squad. Seriously, if Pop doesn't give them a break -- which he likely will -- this year's Spurs team would undoubtedly best the '97 Bulls' 72-10 record).
Apparently Super Action will show games every Monday or Tuesday, and Star Sports always has a game on friday mornings. Next Friday, expect to see the Heat play Houston.
If there are more games, I might consider quitting my job.
