Did a search on adapters and didn't find anything relevant so here goes.

Went to Radio Shack and all the power adapaters had disclaimers saying that they shouldn't be used with computers. Found some power adapters online for laptops but none for desktops. What should I be looking for exactly? I'm going to be pretty far out in the boonies in Korea and would like to be able to get my computer up and running as soon as I get there.

Thanks!

Most modern power supplies have a switch on the back between 110 and 220. If yours doesn't just go to CompUSA or Best Buy and get a new one. Beyond that you'll have to get a different power cord once you're in Korea, but that's small change.

And for the monitor (if you're thinking of bringing it, which I wouldn't- buy one there) you can get a step-down transformer in Korea- reasonably priced and easy to find.
If your computer doesn't have a 220-115v switch on the power supply (and perhaps even if it does) you can very easily remove the power supply (single heaviest component of the computer after the case itself) buy one in Korea and pop it in. Very easy to do and instructions can be found on the net at numerous websites. And power supplies are cheap.
