My vote went to baseball (too much standing around!) but could easily have gone to golf, speed-walking or synchronized swimming.

The arrogent [sic]nature of golf is evident in the design and scale of the game. Think of how big a golf course is. It's huge; you can't see the end of it from the other. But the ball is only an inch and a half in diameter. So will someone please explain to me what these pinheaded pricks need with all that land?
America has over 17,000 golf courses. They average over 150 acres apiece. That's three million-plus acres. Four thousand, eight hundred and twenty square miles. We could build two Rhode Islands and a Delawar's worth of housing for the homeless on the land currently wasted on this meaningless, mindless, arrogant, racist game.
That's another thing:race. the only blacks you'll find in the country clubs are carrying trays. And don't give me that Tiger Woods bullshit. *beep* tiger Woods. He ain't black. He acts, talks, and lives like a white boy. Skin alone doesn't make you black.

i will strongly agree with golf, with competitive('extreme') rollerblading a close second.

golf-boring, pointless, almost impossible to get good at, and exclusively geared towards banal rich dudes who say "damn, i have all this money now... what the hell should i spend it on" and have no creativity in that pursuit.

competitive rollerblading is to skateboarding what white men were to native peoples in so many parts of the world. an entirely biased view, but when something is gay, it's gay... and i have no control over that.

Come to think of it, golf isn't a sport, it's a game. Game being defined as something you can get drunk doing.

My aunt used to breed dogs (retrievers) and they have these sort of competitions she'd go to in Canada. They'd fire a dead duck from a cannon on a hilltop. The dog would watch where the duck landed (maybe 100-200 yards away on the other side of an obstacle course) and it would then sprint down the hillside through the obstacles to bring back the dead duck. I guess it was timed.

So I guess the dog wins that game, like, 99% of the time.

Very good golf observations. Winston Churchill once remarked:

"Golf is a game whereby the objective is to get a very small ball into a very small hole, using weapons singularly ill-suited for the purpose".

Me personally, I'd ban all sports apart from Football (Soccer), Tennis and Darts. The worst sport in the entire universe has got to be American Football. No offence guys, but what a truly sh1te sport.

Golf is one of the greatest sports out there. The detractors have obviously never hit a straight drive 250 meters, or chipped in from the rough to make birdie. Golf becomes an itch you HAVE to scratch. It doesn't take long to get the fundamentals down so long as you persevere. I wouldn't regard golf as an elitest sport, that would have to go to polo, in NZ you can pick up a good quality set of irons for 400 dollars and a 1 year membership fo as low as 200 dollars.

What the hell does george carlin know about Tiger Woods. What a fucking arrogant thing to say calling him not black.
