If you renew you contract at the same school, do you personally have to go to immigration and prove to them that you have a valid degree? I thought this was done only when you are first hired. Thanks for your input.
Is there a link about this to EFL Law? I can't seem to find one. |

You've gotta apply for the visa extension ( and maybe the multi entry permit extension too) anyway, though I didn't need to bring my degree when I did that back in May. |

yeah...I got that for the ARC card and for the passport. I was just recently told that immigration sent a letter to the school saying that I (by myself) have to go to another cities immigration office (not the city i work in) and bring my degree because they want to verify it??? Weird though....
Why would they have renewed my arc card and my passport just last August if now they "want" to see my diploma? I had all of my info. verified when i first came here over a year ago. I think there is more to it than what my boss is telling me. Funny enough...the other foreign teacher here has not been asked to do the same. Only me. And he has been here longer than me!!!  |
