Who will you vote for and tell us why?
I'm voting for the Greens because they're the only party that has yet to screw the taxpayers. |

Oh shit does this mean I have to feel guilty about being too lazy to register as an absentee voter again? I can either register for a riding where the Conservatives / Reform always win by 75% or one where the Liberals do. Unless I can register for one where my vote could help the Tories lose, I really don't think I can be bothered this time round. |

Depends on who is up for candidacy in my riding and what they plan to do back home. |

Liberal. Not that I'm a supporter. Its just the other options are worse IMHO.
Until they change the "first past the post system" I don't feel like wasting my vote on a so-called 'third party". Actually, in my riding we don't even have a Green Party. |

The Canadian political system is so balkanized-- no matter how I vote, the Conservatives will win in my riding (Alberta), and they will make no difference at all because they will be outnumbered by Ontario Liberals. The entire system is hopelessly gridlocked, and I see no practical way out.
If I were at home, I would vote Green just because they're not one of the mainline parties. But I'm not voting, because in a sense I've already voted with my feet; I got sick of paying taxes to a government I don't support, and I left. My rant (see other thread on this ).

Key word above being yet.. i dont' have any faith in any political party to be honest.. Just amazes how bureacracy works in a country.. give any party long enough time in power and see what they do with the money. Where I'm from it doesn't matter.. we have 4 MP's and they all have brought home the bacon (ie federal money and lots of it) so they're not going to be booted out.. |

Usually vote conservative. Well because they are lesser of the two evils. Friggen liberal hippies.
Ralphy should be the PM. Canada would own. |

Gotta go Green. I think they are the only party that is actually offering an actual alternative. I think the Libs, Conservatives, and NDP are all the same shit, different pile.

Where do you live? Last time 'round, the Greens ran candidates in all 308 ridings. |

The only difference between the parties is which group of yahoos they'll cater to for votes. They're all crooks in suits.
Anyway, it'd be a shame if the corrupt rednecks gain power instead of some corrupt lefties. Socially, Canada has made so many strides towards becoming a civilized country, I'd hate to see it undone because a bunch of Alberta hillbillies think married gays will make the oil dry up. |
