If you had the legal visa and quit your day job to teach privates full time, do you think that you could line up 35 or 40 hours a week of privates?

At the going rate it's lots of money. But could you get the privates?

I get offered about two a week...I could probably teach 100 hours a week if I chose to.

If I wanted to I guess I could. Although I'm pretty wiped with the 19 legal hours a week I'm teaching now.

I could do it, but 18 hours a week is eating into my personal free time as it is.

easily, but not if I had just got off the boat. Been here almost 6 years, so have the contacts.

If the demand was there I would tutor small groups rather than one on one.... that way the fees arent as high per person, but per hour you would get more, and the hours would be lower.

Lord yes. Co-workers, co-workers friends, people on the street; it's a rare bus ride or meal out that someone doesn't ask. I've had strangers call my office to ask if I'll teach them/their child/their circle.

I'm wondering how they got my number, they seem surprised I turn them down.

I could line them up, but man 35 hours of privates would burn me out with all the running around. I'm happy with my mix of legal job where I'm stationary, and about fifteen hours of privates.

Enough privates to make 100k per week (3 or 4 then?) would be ideal for me, but nothing more. Can't be arsed.

Demand is so that someone could probably do 80 hours a week if they can survive talking with other people's kids 12 hours a day.
