This could be a very good idea or the worst idea I have ever had but would any of you out there feel like meeting once in awhile and socializing--you know, face-to-face conversation. Might need to encourage leaving monikers and nationalities at home to avoid fisticuffs.
I saw in the paper today that there is a microbrewery in Apkujeong that might be worth checking out. Unfortunately the paper did not give its exact location. Perhaps for those of you who are interested we could check it out tomorrow night (Saturday, Feb. 8th).
Also, for all of you Survivor fans, what would you think of getting together to watch Survivor having a pool on who will win this time and perhaps having our own reward/immunity challenges (alcohol related)?
If you are interested in any of these ideas just pm me. |

ACTUALLY...
I'm not interested in Survivor, but I was thinking of posting about the possibility of people meeting people in some big get-together. It's not uncommon for a net community who all live in the relatively same area to meet up.
I'm interested in the idea. I know there's a few people I'd like to meet, if nothing else, to get a good laugh. And yea, hopefully the net conflicts could be left to the net. |

Count me in... just let me know. I'm often bored off of my butt in the mornings too, because I teach until 10pm many nights. Also, I'd be open to hanging out on weekends or late nights. |

I live in Kangnam too and would like to meet more people here.
Derrek,
I am also bored in the morning. I start work at 3. Also thanks for the tip on using the Korea Herald to meet girls. Over 10 wrote to me on the first day. |

In Gangnam,I was never bored in the morning. Have you ever heard of sleeping in and cooking yourself a nice brunch? |

Just watch out, dragon. I can probably name at least half of those girls, and that gives you an indication of how many other guys they e-mail to. Just don't put your heart into any one of them too soon! I can only think of one of them I met thru there that I still hang out with (she's just a buddy) and they all seemed to get lots of mysterious cellphone calls at many different times.
The moral is: Chances are they are meeting others from that site too.
Just approach it as friendship early on, and meet their friends! |

It's raining today, but if the rain lets up, I'm considering going to Seoul tonight. Probably Hongdae or something, since I don't know Gangnam too well. But I'm up for anywhere, really.
Anyone who's interested in slammin' back a few beers, holler on the board before tonight!
*will check thread again later* |

Well, as for tonight, I would be up for anywhere. Kangnam is in my neighborhood but if you want to hang in an area with other expats Hongdae is the place. We would need a time and place--preferably 10:00 or later for me. Suggestions? |

I'd be up for it again next week... heading out of town with 10 koreans for "MT" get-together this weekend. |

Bah, next week I'm going snowboarding.
Oh well, start small, and eventually all the quiet types'll realize what they're missing. Maybe...
Erm, lawyertood, do you know the Irish pub that's near Gwanghwamun? I think it's called...Buck Mulligan's. I know exactly how to get to it. That's another decent expat bar...not cheap though.
10:00 pm is a little late for me, seeing as I've got to make it back to Suwon tonight. 8:00 I could do.
I'll check here again later. |

Next week I'm off to Thailand for 8 days. As for tonight my girlfriend is over and will not leave until about 9 pm (curfew) so I can't leave before then......perhaps in a few weeks more of us can hook up.
Or you could crash at my place and take the bus back in the morning...I have a spare bedroom. Just have to put up with the dog. |

I'll save the bedding invitation for a rainy day, but thanks.
Let's wait a bit longer until more people are able to show up. I'm gonna run down to Cheonan tonight anyways, if I do head out somewhere. |
