| I am looking at signing a contract at this school. Has anyone heard good or bad things about it? Much appreciated!! Also, is Suwon a nice place to live? |

Hello, Danyar Magyar!
I can only answer your last question.
I moved to Suweon about a month ago, and I love it!
I live a block from the train station, where I can shop for anything I need.
If you get placed anywhere near Home Depot, Hi Mart, or E-Mart, you will be similarly blessed.
Every weekend, I take a trip to the public library. It's not close to where I live, but it's a straight shoot on the bus route. It has a good collection of kiddy books. I always check out some of the kiddy books and read them to my students in English.
I was reluctant to move here because of the proximity to Seoul. I have a stereotype about Koreans in large cities treating foreigners as if we were all the same. But so far, I haven't found that to be any more true in Suweon than in where I lived before. |

There are enough foreigners in Suwon but not too many, if you see what I mean.
I have to say, though, that Suwon is pretty much a commuter town. I live in Ingyedong and though I've seen the odd foreigner about I've got no idea where they go when it gets dark. Not that that's a bad thing given I spend most of the week working anyway...
Getting to Seoul is very, very easy from just about any part of Suwon too. |

| I know Suwon and I hate it there. It is not very far to Seoul but it is not quick. There are few things to do Suwon. |

Where in Suwon are you? From my place to Gangnam is around an hour door to door. From Suwon station to Seoul station or Yongsan it's under half an hour. |
