HOLY FFFFFFFFFFFFFFffffffffffffffffffff**K!!!!!!!!!!!

I've had this bank account ( Pusan bank) for 4 years now, never had a prob. Suddenly this weekend I am missing 500,000 won. WTF?

I used a Daegu bank ATM yesterday, I wonder if that has something to do with it?

Anyone else had surprise withdrawls from their bank account?

Shocked

My friend in China had some kind of ATM fraud. Fraudsters set up an ATM machine, read the numbers, and then used that to make their own card. Run, don't walk, to your bank and get your PIN changed.

Start walking about 30 minutes before your bank opens or however long it takes to get there before it opens. Today is Sunday. Get a friend (or if you can speak Korean) to cancel the card now.

Wait, first call your buddies and ask them if you did anything really freaky after drinking last night that perhaps you don't remember now. Check your clothing (in the laundry basket) for animal hairs, blood stains, or prophylactics.

Embarassed

False alarm. I just updated my bankbook and there are no weird withdrawls. I just haven't been keeping track, used too many of those
handy machines in family mart that don't give receipts. Embarassed

I still can't believe I spent that much in just 2 weeks........ Confused

I was sure I had 800, 000 on Monday, but according to my bank book, I only had 300,000.

I must be losing it. Shocked

Hey, look at it this way. You know your account is safe now, plus your nerves got a real workout for free! So, how many implausible explanations did you consider before realising what had happened? (BTW, I believe all the machines will give you receipts if you instruct them to.)

I did something similar earlier this year. The sum involved, which I thought I'd lost, was enough to render me almost catatonic for days, and destroyed my concentration for weeks. I literally could not get it out of my mind for more than a few minutes at a time except when I was sleeping, and you can imagine how little of that I was doing. Oh, the wild scenarios I played out in my head, each one more farfetched than the previous. Rolling Eyes Finally tracked it down, but shit like that takes off years.

It's the starting a new job, moving, traveling back and forth to immigration and everything else confusion. Confused

(at least that's my excuse Wink )

There are certain cash machines in the subways that don't give receipts.
I've used them when I was in a hurry and didn't have time to go find a bank.

Anyway, it is good to know that my account is still safe.......whew!!!!!!!!!!

Now if I can just hold out until payday.

One time I went to one of those stupid drinky girl places in Itaewon. You know, the ones where they charge you 30,000 for their drink. We were three guys and there were three girls working there. Our drinks were 10,000. I paid the bill. I might've stupidly gone back there, but don't remember. And a lot more things involving fornication other than that place. I had been saving for a few months in the boonies. The next day was "What?" I woke up in some bigger apartment alone. Checked my account later... Ouch! That was one hell of an expensive weekend 'cause I bought some expensive clothes and other things. Haven't been back since. Good thing that I can afford it. I think I was depressed for about a month.

Get your bank card changed every once in a while.

You said you bought expensive clothes and other things, so God knows... Was it a suit? And what "other things"? Dress shoes and a new wallet? Okay, wild guess: 650,000 won. NOOO! 850,000 won.
