So,
I just got back from a trip through the tropics, and my gut
is way out of wack. I'd like to go get a "cleansing," if you know what
I mean. Anywhere in Seoul offer something like this at a reasonable price?
Also, are there any stores which have natural, herbal supplements,
such as digestive enzymes?
My stomach thanks you in advance for your speedy reply!! |

Unless you're really into herbal supplements and such, why don't you try a good dose of fiber, or bran.... Also, banana's are apparently really good at cleaning you out.
That's at least a good first step until you find those supplements =] |

| I can't tell what your prob is, but, if you need to *beep* for your country at the sh1tting Olympics, Kimchie and soju. If you wanna stop sh1tting, anything derived from Opium. Sadly the latter is hard to find in Korea, so Kimchie and Soju it is. Sod the doctor and herbal supplements. |

My problem is that I am in ridiculous pain.
I've taken conventional pharmaceutical stuff for my gut for years,
and its not working anymore. I've stopped drinking, stopped eating spicy
food, but right now, nothing is working. I have daily occurences of heartburn,
pain, and other unpleasantries. I'm willing to give some herbal stuff
a try, cuz conventional science is failing me right now.
Can anyone muster a serious response?
Thanks guys. |

I really wish I could help. I'm sorry some people have been trivial, but your original post said "out of whack" and it's hard to know what that means. I think SPINOZA's post was in earnest. You sound like you're having stomach problems though, not gut problems.
All I can say is that you should probably see a doctor and get some tests, because heartburn isn't really related to intestinal flora as far as I can tell. Maybe you picked up a bug? How long have you been back? |

If you really want to do cleanse, why don't you do it yourself at home? I've never tried it, but I'm sure there are lots of recipes available online. While you're at it, you might want to go to the pharmacy and get some antiparasite (dewormer) pills. |

OK,
So how about a natural supplement store?
Anything like that in Korea?
I'd be doubly psyched if the people inside said shop
could tell me what I was buying in English.
