Dream a Little dream of me.

I have more but most by unknown type dudes... Anyone got kicka$$ ideas for some great cover songs?
So there's what i'm going from....i like a broad range of style

You mean like reproducing your own version using a computer program or actually using musical instruments with a band and a PA?

After Hours ~ Velvet Underground
Changes ~ David Bowie
William It Was Really Nothing ~ The Smiths
A Pair of Brown Eyes ~ The Pogues
When The War Is Over ~ Cold Chisel
The Man's Too Strong ~ Dire Straits

Those are some mellow songs though, to put the audience to sleep. Depends on your take, of course.

Mystery Train ~ Elvis

Where you gonna play?

Alternatively, just look up a band called "Hayseed Dixie" and copy their cover list. Best bluegrass musicians I ever seen, Maw.

i play in busan consistently.
got something lined up in masan.
played in ulsan before.
someday i wanna get up to seoul but i have no idea how to hook that up from down here in the sticks.

After hours....used to know that...good song no doubt, just found it a bit uncomfortable with the voice....fun though..that's a good start!
and the smiths...love them too...jsut can't figure out whta to play
not much for dire straits but the rest sound intriguing.
thanks a lot for that.

I wouldn't call this stuff bluegrassy. I just have those instruments and am willing to play any song on them.

I'm terrible recalling titles but I'd suggest both Tom Waits & the Stones for some nice edgy melodies.

Freshmen - Verve Pipe
That sound would sound great with only guitar.

done on the banjo... but, it's been done by so many people i can't say it resembles those two cats at ALL.

haven't played it in public but it's slowly gonna creep itself in.

funny, i do that, and have been doing that song for the last 8.5 of the 10yrs i play guitar.
And it's true, it's a purty song that most people will listen to (for at least a verse or two)...then when i belt it out the vocal metallica styles, everyone has a nice chuckle.

"Taxman" - Beatles
nice...also cover this one.

Quote:
Tom Waits
i do Yesterday is Here...i play tango til their sore in my house and it sound sgreat but nothing outside.
used to do strange weather...cooool ass songs.
with the ol' banjo, i'm gonna try to get gun street girl...
sadly, i've never really found the stones to be a band to inspire me...don't get me wrong, they rock and all...just never really thought "hey, i should do this song".

the problem i always have with L.C. songs is that everyone who ever covers his songs sound SO much better than his versions (i hear it's heresy to say that to some people but...)
the production on his albums, in my view, are terrible.
Jeff Buckley's versino of hallelujah trashes his
But famous blue raincoat? I think that'd be ok....
