Then you cook up a box & after a few bites it gets tiresome so you stick the rest in the fridge & eventually chuck it out.

You're prepared to cough up some stupid amount of money for a dried out piece of turkey at Christmas, a barbeque on Canada Day or "all you can drink", waterered-down green beer on St. Patrick's Day.

Then one of the nieghbors informs the seventy year old apartment security guard that you didn't put it in the food waste bin and didn't separate your trash.

The next day the security guard yells something at you in Korean and you just think he's crazy.

... when you are over 10 years old and you sit in the non-smoking section of the PC-bang.

... when people are held in rapt fascination at you: drinking a soda, making a telephone call, hailing a taxi, shopping for underpants, etc...

... when your academic degree is real, you don't regularly pay bribes, you deal fairly and transparently in business, and the law holds you to certain minimal standards of professionalism and honesty.
