After WWII and The Korean War, there were many stories of US soldiers bringing home war brides. Is that happening with the Iraq conflict? |

My cousin is over there and we talked about this a few weeks ago. Unless they are out on patrol they have no contact with the natives. A bit difficult to pick up when you are in full combat gear and just kicked down the family's door.
He does not know of any circumstances. |

I heard of it happening a bit with Iraqi women hired to work in administrative jobs in the 'Green Zone' - but to civilians, 'security contractors' (i.e. mercenaries), desk officers, and supply clerks, not GIs. |

Yes, that's an innovation for Iraq. |

Remember a number of years ago that jarhead married the Saudi princess (which sounds impressive but I guess almost anyone with a distant relation to the Saudi royal family is a prince/princess). She tried to enter the USA with the jarhead and all the immigration and military shyte came down on them like a ton of bricks. And People magazine picked up the story. It was a grand fairy tale, you understand. After a couple years married to a stone dumb jarhead and being forced to shop at Walmart, she packed up and went back to her oil rich family. The end. |

Yea I saw that on TV. To get her over the border, they pretended she was Puerto Rican. |
