Under "Entries" on my E-2 visa there is an "S".
I assume this means it is single entry. I am planning a one week trip to Thailand around Christmas time. Does anyone know what I need to do in order to return to my job without visa complications? |

If you have used your single entry, the simplest way is to get a new single re-entry visa at the airport before you go through security check. You can do this as many times as you like - or can get a multi-entry visa at the immigration office.
If you are UK citizen, these are free. If you are US it's around 30,000 KRW I believe. Dunno for others, probably free. |

| I went to Immigration on Friday.... Single entry visa costs 30,000 and mutiple entry costs 50,000. I went in to verify my uni background, so I got the multiple entry visa while I was there. |

Yep, definately free if u are a Brit. I got mine at the same time I applied for my ARC. Easy life. 
Immigration in Pohang told me that the multiple reentry is free for Brits because we are a good country.  |

I'm Canadian, would you suggest going to immigration ahead of time or just sorting it out at the airport? |

If you have the time now and will be travelling more than once before the end of your visa, do it now at the immigration office. If this is the only exit/re-entry you plan, just get a single at the airport. Allow an extra 30 minutes before departure time to be on the safe side. |

Americans are lucky at this one (one of the few).. we get a Multiple Entry connected with our working visa - the only nationality that gets it that I know of.
Its always fun being in Fukuoka and shocking the Canadians when they realize they get the "S" and we get the "M".   |

Yes, nice getting an "M" ...
Seriosuly, I am a bit surprised by this TB: why then do so many people come on here and ask about re-entry visas?
FWW, Germans I work with also believe that their visas are automatically multi-entry but it has yet to be tested. My own first visa issued in Paris in Dec 98, a D8, was for single-entry, that is sure. I do not recall having seen a "M" entry work visa. |

| Not all Americans get a multiple entry. I have a single entry. (Of course, I did get my korean visa at the embassy in Buenos Aires. I honestly odn't think they guy had ever given a working visa before. ) you go to immigration, pay a fee (40,000 or something) and they make it multiple. Thats what I did for my last visa. No problem. I would just go ahead and do it at immigration. one less thing to worry about at the airport |

| We live in Seoul. We are going by ferry to Osaka for New Year, anyone know if we can get a re-entry at the port before we sail or do we need to go to Seoul imm' ? |
