fraud in US is Korean in origin. They just can't respect those laws. Sen.

do you guys really believe this nonsense?
disproportionate amount of visa fraud compared to whom? not the hispanics obviously. What percent of the US population is korean that they have to worry about this so much? 0.001%?
99% of massage parlor prostitution is korean?
So I guess the other 1% crams in the Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese, Phillippino, and not to mention any other part of the hemisphere.
i'm not saying these statements aren't based in fact, but don't pull figures out of your butthole to try and prove your point. |

yeah really dan. where do some of these guys get their info? no doubt their ass.
The bulk of korean immigrants these days are wealthy and just want cleaner air, a house, and a better education for their kids. Not exactly the type of people that commit visa fraud are they? There was a NY times article on the subject a month or two ago that the Korean Herald printed. Oh, subject was rich Korean immigrants, not visa fraud commited by Koreans.
Lawrence, perhaps that USED to be true back in the 70s and 80s, but times have changed my friend.
Ditto with the whole massage parlor BS. |

A lot of the notions about Korea - and especially the Koreans coming to America - are out of date, but Koreans must still apply for visas to the US because of what remains an unacceptable percentage of people who continue to violate the terms of their visas, in spite of the fact that Korea is now a fairly prosperous nation. If you take a look at other countries on the list of the main offenders in this area, Korea stands out as it is not a developing nation. |

Heard once from a Korean Social Welfare Professor that Korean massage parlours and cafes were booming buisneses in the U.S. because of the excellent services they were providing. He actually studied in Hawaii, and he did a lot of translating for the poor lost girls who got into the buisness. Some of the girls that he knew were students, but met contacts for making extra money through their church groups. They did it once and got hooked. Such is the lure of money when your in a foreign country, and want to have the some fun as well as study. |

Hmm.. I'm kind of with Dan on this one.. I never really heard of korean hookers and prostitues and massage places in the States.. maybe I don't frequent them to know.. but I do seem to remember the back of "Village Voice" type newspapers about Thai Massage occassionally if there was a picture of an asian girl.. but most girls weren't even asian, usually white girls, black girls, latina girls, and a percentage being asian girls.. which I just don't think would be predominately korean.. again i don't know though.. i just don't recall anything like that.. but then again.. i don't really know either.. just find it hard to believe..
Most Koreans I met in the USA usually either had a business (cornerstore, grocery store, laundrymat, korean restaurant, etc) if they were older.. and if they were younger, they were usually a student studying English or Art.. and parttime jobs usually included either working at a Korean or more commonly a Japanese restaurant as a waitress.. and sometimes they'd end up as a bartender..
Generally.. at least my experiences knowing Koreans in New York City and San Francisco..
The other thing.. is I don't believe Koreans provide good 'services' in any kind of prostitution trade.. if they did.. you've foreigners coming from all over the world much like they go to brazil, thailand, philippines or wherever else for that kind of thing.. |

Im from the UK,and know many UK residing korean friends and spend a lot of time in the korean community there.
EVERYsingle one is working illegally, usually on a study visa[they do not generally attend the schools]
Not one pays tax, though some have resided in the uk for many years. If its a restaurant or bar they are running, they do not conform to health regulations etc
The korean restaurant owner there [ also a good friend] runs a brothel on the side, masked as a set of[ illegal again] kareoke rooms.standard practice im afraid to say.
It is used only by koreans, mainly cheating on their korean wives [he's getting very rich, has a new restaurant in Seoul too now, with the money taken out the back door.]
their attitude is 'beep' you, you're a rich country, and a bunch of suckers, and we will get away with what we can.
this is not a bunch of generalisations,or heresay..but the way it is ...
their customs and view of the law are different from ours,
Any one wanna buy a summit?

well gibby, the korean community is just SLIGHTLY different in the USA. The stereoytpical Korean-American owns either a dry-cleaner or some kind of market. I think it has even become some kind of joke here in Korea. Most small supermakets these days seem to be owned by Koreans. Pakistani and Indians of course have the hold on 7-11s while Cambodians (or is it people from Bangladesh? i forget) have their grip on donought shops where I'm from. As for not paying taxes and all that jazz, I don't know.
speaking of 7-11, I was in Little India in Singapore and what would you know, there were Chinese workers in it. I thought that was just a bit ironic . |

You sly dog you rapier...haha, very subtle.
Also, as far as I know Woody Allen was never her foster father.
Mia Farrow adopted her and Mia had a relationship with Woody Allen but he never adopted the girl. Nothing illegal happened, but yeah, it is definitely weird!
Ten years ago in NYC Korean pros posed as Japanese pros for small timers. Now other nationalities are posing as Japanese call girls for small time Charlies. Soon enough I'll be posing as a Japanese prostitute, eventaully everyone has their 15 seconds as a Japanese prostitute.
