Thanks Ken!
Any idea how much money they're looking for in order to extend the standard tourist visa to the 59 day one? Is it quick to do?
(many thanks, again!) |

yep, done that one enough. you will be arriving thru the "new" airport - exit to your LEFT - head ALL the way down to the street, down to the road - about 200 to 300m. You can snag a taxi or jeepney. You will see Filipinos standing there - waiting for transport. No buses past 11:30pm but there are taxis and jeepneys. INSIST the taxi uses the meter. A jeepney will take you near Airport Road - take a taxi from there, or walk straight 3 or 4 blocks, past the beer parlors - there is a somewhat cheap hotel, Cardinal i think, you can crash at.
DO NOT take the FX (SUV type taxi) at the airport terminal - they will scam you! |
I'll be arriving at night.. if I do take a taxi from the airport (as opposed to the FX.. what might I expect?) Or how much should I expect to pay?
I'm thinking of staying in Saint Illians Inn in Makati - tentatively - no reservations yet. |

I recommend contacting the embassy with your queries.
They seem pretty good about answering phone inquiries.
Renewing in Manila costs about P 1,500 ( if i remember right!!!) |
