Did you know that ONLY white men cheat on their wives? Did you know that ONLY white men go to Thailand and have 'relations' with the locals? Korean men don't do it though. You can only see white men doing such things. Therefore, older white men are very 'oily'. That sums up my lunch break today. My Korean education is coming along.

(I am not having a bad... just a funny one)

I posted about this when I first arrived. I was on a sort of date with a Korean chick I met online, and she told me that when she was in Thailand on holiday, that's where she had first seen The Gay. I laughed and asked, "What, you've never seen gay people in Korea?". She looked stunned, her eyes grew wide, and she replied "No... have YOU?"

There are no gay people in Korea because they eat kimchi. I thought that that was just common knowledge?

As for the cheating thing, didn't someone post a poll result on here that some ungodly percentage of Korean men think that visiting prostitutes is necessary for a "healthy" marriage? I could swear I read that on here somewhere...

Hahahaha.... I was telling some Koreans lately that I have seen several Korean gays in Ittaewon. And Korean transvestites too. Also...seen korean men chatting up and taking a transexual home...all true of course, but utterly shocking to Koreans.

Re the Op- i believe the majority of AIDS cases in korea have been traced to Korean men sleeping with Thai pro's on holiday ("Me no condom, I pay more, OK") and then returning to pass it on to their wives.

I've heard that there are no gays in Korea a lot of times. Ever since that comedian came out a few years ago, it's harder to deny.

Though I've never been to a gay bar, I hear it's mostly foreigners. The Koreans that do go there, however, tend to be into the freaky stuff, like crossdressing and S&M.

By the way, my girlfriend works at a video-editing studio, and one of her co-workers is Korean and gay.

My co-worker at my elementary school was telling me, and that is why she doesn't like older white men. This is seriously, what she told me. She has said other things to me as well where I just rolled my eyes, kind of laughed on the inside and ate some more seaweed soup.

I'd love to see the source you're quoting from, or is this a deliberate "I'm no better than the Koreans quoted in the OP" statement? Confused

I can introduce this woman to a Korean lady who handles travel reservations for Samsung. She told me this story about having the numbers of pimps/out-call in Thailand because the guys from Samsung want a room with girls for them and sometimes foreign clients they bring along. They literally call up on a Friday and want to leave ASAP. It's a common every-trip kind of thing. And she specifically stated that they want girls who don't use condoms.

That is directly from the mouth of a Korean woman.

All gay people in Itaewan have become gay through the influence of the US. Again, it is America's fault.

Yes, when I told my students I was coming to Thailand she asked me if i would be going to the gay cabarets. It is interesting that I have never been to those shows and yet my students who have come here did attend--i guess it is part of their package tour.

It is very refreshing to be in Thailand right now! The weather has been wonderful. As always, i can't get over the delicious food and I love the Chang. The people are friendly. The Thai's know how to make foreigners feel welcomed. They are very hospitable. I know it is because they want money. In stating that I will say that they earn it. I always come back here. The good thing about Korea is that it is 5 hours from Thailand

Perhaps BBE can verify, clarify or contradict this.

Sorry, but that's just totally untrue.

Then please correct me. As I said, I've never been, but my girlfriend went for a fag-hag night a few years ago, and a bisexual friend of mine went to one club where he was basically molested by a big soldier. They both made the two observations that the bars were mostly foreigners, and that the Korean gays there were a little more into dressing up and kinky stuff if you know what I mean.

And I never claimed that homosexuality is caused by American presence. I'm sure there's a much larger underground gay culture in Korea that's bigger than a couple sleazy bars in Itaewon.

I was told the same things by some Koreans my first year there. There are no gay Koreans. One of them went on to say it is a "Western disease", and implied that any Korean who is gay was "infected" by a foreigner.

Cool, so she can verify that most Aids cases in Korea come from Korean men sleeping with Thai prostitutes?

Or were you posting that in repsonse to something entirely different?
