My boss has asked me to get a list of unis that do not have friday classes, even if it is only in a couple of deprtments.
So, I am asking all you uni teachers who work at such a school to let me know the name of your uni.
PMs are fine. |

Usually, it's on a professor-by-professor basis. Seniority rules! I don't think ANY uni (or any department!) has Fridays totally off!!
Why is he looking for that information anyway???? |

This past semester a record number of students cancelled their Friday classes, so my boss decided that she wants to approach the president about not having classes on Fridays. She will use the cancellations, and a list of unis that already do this.
So, if your uni already does this, I would appreciate it if you let me know on this board, or by PM. |

Well to help your cause, you could add Gongju National University of Education to your list. I used to work there and had the day of my choice off... I chose Friday and didn't have to work that day. Hope you get your Friday off. |

Maybe your school can reach a compromise. Our school has a big problem with students making it to class on time for 9am Monday classes (many of them come from Seoul and experience huge traffic jams on Monday morning) and hating to stay late on Friday. Having classes start later on Mondays (say 11 or so) and finish earlier (say before 2pm) might be a good solution, as teachers also hate those times! |
