I just was offered a job in Incheon, and I was wondering how people have liked the city. I was also thinking of going to Bundang or Daejeon. Any advice? |

Can't speak for Daejon but after having worked in both Bundang and Incheon I'd go for Bundang. On the whole the jobs seem to be better there. And that's the key- the job. A great job in Inchon is better than a crappy job in Bundang. |

I'd take Bundang over Incheon, too. What school in Incheon was it? |

Where in Incheon...it's quite big. Give us some details as some parts are OK, however there are a lot of ghettos. |

All three of those places have their good points and bad points, you could probably be happy or miserable in any of them. Incheon and Bundang are both 1 hour subway rides from downtown Seoul, Daejeon is a one hour KTX ride from downtown Seoul.
Focus on picking a good job over a good location. |

I am in Incheon and I like it (Shin Hyun Dong)....however the reason I like my location - my Mixed Martial Arts gym is 10 mins away, my school is 10 mins away and my normal gym is 2 mins away (all times walking). I guess a strange way of looking at it is that I dont have anywhere to spend my money and get wasted during the week so I can learn Hangul and stay fit. I guess I have found a very simple and fun life for myself here...I love my school as well.
I have NEVER seen another white person in my area and I have been here 10 weeks.
My mates are in Bundong and it takes me about 2 hours to get there. I guess you will have more fun there.
*As a side note, anyone living near Shin Hyun Dong, PM me.....IM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LONELY (joke) |

Sin-Heung Dong (ﵿ) is in the South West portion of Incheon, and incorporates Incheon Port (as well as the immigration office and the In Spa World swimming complex). It's sort of the area between Inha University and Dong Incheon. There's not a lot to be found out this way, but Dong Incheon, Sinpo Dong and Songdo are all fairly close by. |
