I saw this in this morning's Chosun Ilbo. No idea if it is any good, but it is free and the idea sounds right.
New Textbook Teaches Korean to Immigrant Women
A new book aims to teach the growing number of foreign women who marry Korean men and come to live in the country to speak Korean. The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family published the text to provide women who move here with an easy way of learning the language so they can avoid unnecessary conflict with their in-laws and cultural misunderstandings, it said Thursday. The book focuses on language deemed essential in the daily life of an immigrant married to a Korean. Contents start from essentials such as greeting, introductions and shopping and are based around life-like situations.
Put together by the Women Migrants Human Rights Center on commission from the ministry, the books appendices include information on law and living, such as what documents are required to extend their stay or apply for naturalization, when babies should be vaccinated, and how to use household appliances.
The textbook can be downloaded from the ministrys homepage (www.mogef.go.kr) and will be distributed to institutes that offer Korean language instruction within the month.
