Anybody know anything about TESOL-MALL at Woosong University. They are offering an MA TESOL study program. It looks new. |

Hi I work there and the program has been going for about 1 year now, seems to be working ok--no major complaints---worth looking into. The deal is you can get a position there as a teacher and do the MA at the same time. Instructors are qualified and good, the working atmosphere not too bad--pay is a bit low but conditions are ok.
regards,
Auswan. |

I don't work there and I've never heard of the place before. Surley something with "MALL" in the name doesn't sound terrible legit. |

You would look more professional if your handbook were written by a native speaker of English. |

I thought there was some type of "rule" about people/schools/companies advertising here...
I know this didn't start off as one, but still even after a good amount of editing....
Oh, and why must a person create a new handle to answer this?

I met Brian English, the director of Woosong University's langauge institute, at the KOTESOL 2005. He gave an excellent presentation on developing a career in TESOL. He gave a "plug-in" for the MA program during his lecture.
Dr. English (sorry, I couldn't resist) seems like a quality person but I think that a Korean MA in TESOL is not too valuable outside of Korea. |
