|

Long story short....I moved, Kt guy came to hook up net. Gave me a new modem, don't know why, or if that has anything to do with my new problem.
But, now, whenever messenger starts up, my msn news box comes up in hangul, and all my tabs are in hangul, as well as if I try to view peoples' profiles. It's very annoying, since this is my home computer....and I want it to be all in English. I have enough troubles with my work computers.
I have windows XP, I've tried messing with language displays, done system restore, and even re-installed messenger. NO LUCK!
What to do? I don't want any hangul on this computer! |

<start> <settings> <control panel> <date, time, language, and Regional Options> <Regional and Language Options> <Advanced> set non-Unicode setting to English.
Then, from the same place, <Regional Options> select English from the menu. |

| Did he change your location settings to Korea instead of some other English-speaking country? |

| Try uninstalling MSN and then re-installing an English version. |

| if it is only MSN stuff that comes up as hangul, then it's time to check your profile in MSN. If you set it to being in Korea (which is truthful but useless), then everything you do will be in hangul. The only way I know of is to go to your hotmail account, click on Options (on the right side somewhere), click on Personal, click on My Profile, and see what it says. That's the only thing I can think of. |

| IF nothing else works, try trillian. It collects AIM, MSN, and YAHOO all under one program. And its in English. |
